Cryo T-Shock

Cryo T-Shock

This Award-Winning, Body Slimming, Cellulite Busting, Face Lifting, Italian Masterpiece, Cryo T-Shock, is a noninvasive treatment of adipose tissue to induce lipolysis - the breaking down of fat cells - to reduce body fat without damage to other tissues. It consists of a special developed technique where warm and cold are used and applied directly to the client's skin.

The Cryo T-Shock by Pagani has been in premium spas throughout Europe and we are proud to be the first in Central Iowa to offer the Cryo T-Shock. Cryo T-Shock is the most innovative and versatile anti-aging device on the market to treat localized fat, to reduce cellulite, and to tone and tighten the skin. It uses state-of-the-art thermography and cryotherapy (thermal shock) to reshape the body. This is the first cost effective body contouring solution and won the Most Innovative Device at the Gicare 2014 International Expo in Paris.

Cryo T-Shock offers CryoSlimming and CryoToning.

CryoSlimming safely and effectively uses thermal shock to naturally destroy fat cells
without any damage to the skin. The Cryo T-Shock breaks down fat cells, which your
body naturally flushes out through the bloodstream and then the lymphatic system
in days to weeks following the treatment. It is a safe, painless and a non-surgical
alternative to liposuction. It is most similar to “Cool Sculpting” but is cheaper,
painless and more effective.

CryoToning helps reduce the appearance of cellulite, fine lines and wrinkles by
stimulating collagen and elastin production while tightening muscles.
The difference between CryoSlimming and CryoToning: CryoSlimming reaches
colder temperatures that destroy the fat cells through a process known as apoptosis.
CryoToning involves less cold temperature and therefore does not kill any fat cells.
It stimulates the production of collagen and elastin.

CryoSlimming: stomach, love handles, under arms, bra-line, glutes, double chin,
inner or outer thighs

CryoToning: face, arms, legs, stomach

Cryo T-Shock uses the technology of Peltier cells by safely and quickly generating heat followed by transdermal cryotherapy. The session starts with a warming phase followed by sudden cooling. Temperatures are pleasant and not painful. Skin and fatty tissue are subjected to triple thermal shock (heat-cold-heat) which optimizes the results. The heat has an effect on triglycerides by making them unstable and therefore attacks the contents. Adipose cells or adipocytes (fat cells) are particularly sensitive to heat and cold and this very important variation in temperature allows for a more efficient and faster elimination of adipocytes by modifying their crystallization. The cold accelerates the apoptosis (a natural controlled cell death) of the adipocytes. The synergy of the thermal shock leads the destruction of fat cells. The adipocytes cannot survive the cold temperatures and some adipocytes are even eliminated directly during the session. The rest will be eliminated gradually over a few days or weeks. This technique leads to a reduction of fat mass in a targeted area and is not a weight loss solution holding the deposits together. Repeated remedies will slowly take away upper layers of fat. The cells which have been destroyed are pulled into the bloodstream and are subsequently naturally disposed through the lymphatic system. Cryo T-Shock is the ultimate anti-aging treatment by eliminating unwanted fat cells, reducing cellulite and toning and tightening the skin.

The treatments are executed manually through a slow massage over the selected area of the body. Each session will begin with clean skin followed by a light gel application. The session will then start with heat followed by cold. It is a non-invasive and painless treatment that feels like a light massage.

The CryoSlimming treatments can be performed once every 2 weeks and the CryoToning can be performed once per week. There is a physiological reason for this: CryoSlimming causes apoptosis and when this occurs and fat cells die wasted is formed. This will be eliminated through the blood and lymphatic system. The wasted will eventually be eliminated through the kidneys and waiting every two weeks ensures that the lymphatic system and kidneys are not overloaded.

The CryoSlimming results may be comprised by the natural waste cycle and risk of clogging of the pathways if the treatment is done less than every 14 days. This does not represent a significant risk but could compromise the results.

Is The Cryo T-Shock Safe?
The device is very safe. In terms of programming and electronics, it is managed by a computerized Windows system. The cooling system is controlled by an electronic temperature sensor located in the processing head of the device and the temperature is controlled in real time by the machine and figures displayed on the screen. Pagani created the Cryo T-Shock five years ago and has sold hundreds of units throughout Europe.

How Does It Work?
The body contouring treatments last for roughly 30 minutes and are done manually employing a massage technique. The session begins with 2 minutes of heat and then a prolonged period of cold (22-26 minutes) and then back to heat for another 2-3 minutes. The purpose of the treatment is to lower the temperature of the fat cells enough to cause what is known as the phenomenon of apoptosis. This phenomenon is triggered when the temperature of the fat tissue is between 12 and 17 C which causes these cells to die. The cells are then naturally passed through the body’s lymphatic system and excreted through sweat and urine.

What Are The Benefits?
Clinical studies have shown that this technology naturally destroys fat cells, but as with most techniques, the results vary from one individual to another. The expected effect is usually rapid: part of the fat cells are destroyed during the session while most will be eliminated within 2 to 3 weeks. It has also been proven to help with micro circulation and a significant increase in collagen due to the thermal shock that is caused by the hot and cold.

How Does It Feel?
The treatment is painless, with some clients describing it as rather pleasant. This is due to the massage technique and the session beginning with skin warming descending into the gradual decrease of temperature.

Contraindications?
Anyone with the conditions below should not do this treatment:

  • Kidney disease or dialysis
  • Pregnant women
  • Severe diabetes
  • Undergoing chemotherapy

Frequency of Treatments?
Fat freezing treatments can be performed once every two weeks and lifting treatments can be performed every 7 days. There is a physiological reason for this: when apoptosis occurs and some fat cells die, waste is formed. This will be eliminated by natural routes (blood, lymphatic system and urine). Metabolism must therefore be allowed to evacuate this waste without overloading the system.

What Should I Do Following A Treatment?
A vigorous workout, massage or compression will accelerate the benefits.

What’s The Difference Between The Cryo T-Shock and Other Body Contouring Treatments?
There are other manual cryotherapy machines. But tests and experience have shown that no other machine is currently capable of such dramatic results as the Cryo T-Shock. These results are due to the fact that the device produces both heat and cold. The exchange within these temperatures has a dramatic effect on the body’s tissues causing them to drop to 12 °. When fat tissues reach this temperature they die and are passed through the lymphatic system.

How does it compare to other cold sculpting treatments?

Cryo T-Shock is very affordable, non-invasive and painless process that requires no
anesthesia, has no risk of scarring or neuropathy, and only requires 30-50 minutes. Other methods of fat removal primarily involve a necrotic cell death by damaging fat with heat, high-intensity focused ultrasound or chemical injections. Each of these approaches pose a potential technical challenge, particularly with respect to targeting the right adipose tissue depth and unintended damage to other structures close or within the fat layer.

Frequency of Treatments?
The natural destruction of fat cells will cause cell waste. This waste is passed through the body naturally, first through the blood then the lymphatic system and then sweat and urine. This process on average takes 2-3 weeks.

Maximum Number of Areas That Can Be Treated Simultaneously?
Two. Consisting of one large and one small. Again, to not overload the body’s pathways. There is also strong internal cooling of the tissues and the treating of more zones at the same time could cause in extreme cases hypothermia and fatigue.

  • Arms and Legs
  • Arms and Stomach or Love Handles

Who Should Consider This Treatment?
Anyone who is looking to lose weight, reduce cellulite, tighten saggy skin or treat stubborn areas of fat they are looking to remove.

How Long Do The Results Last?
Depending on the individual and depending also on their lifestyle and diet, the results last several months or several years. For Cellulite and Skin Tightening an ongoing monthly maintenance schedule is recommended.

Possible Side Effects?
There are generally no side effects apart from the amount you urinate will increase slightly over the 3 days following the treatment along with the appearance of your urine in color. Any localized redness will disappeared after a few hours. In rare cases when localized pain may occur but will dissipate within 2-3 hours. Itching may occur however this is generally due to the reaction of certain cosmetic products used by clients.

How Quickly Will I See Results?
The first results are generally visible within a week following the first session. However, it should be noted that the best results appear from 15 days to 3 weeks after the start of treatment and extend for several months after the end of treatment. Generally: CryoSlimming may require 3-5 sessions over several weeks and months to see the best results. CryoSlimming sessions are done once every 2 weeks as to allow for proper lymphatic drainage. CryoToning results are more immediate and also may require multiple sessions to achieve optimal results.

How does this help with cellulite?
The CryoToning uses below zero temperatures that penetrate below the skin. Cellulite is caused by subcutaneous deposits of fat primarily in the legs and glutes. The Cryo T-Shock triggers the fluids that bind the fat cells together to crystalize. This crystallization destroys the fat cells and the bonds holding the deposits together. Repeated sessions will slowly take away the upper layers of fat. The cells which have been destroyed enter the blood stream after which they are disposed of via the lymphatic system.

What is cellulite?
Cellulite is a popular term to describe fat deposits under the skin. It is characterized by dimpled or orang-peel appearance due to structural changes underneath the skin’s top layer. Cellulite is a perfectly normal and harmless condition, however it is a cosmetic concern for most people. Cellulite is a normal occurrence resulting from uneven fatty deposits, mostly below the waistline. In women, fat is arranged in large chambers underneath a fairly thin layer of skin. These chambers are separated by columns of collagen fiber. In overweight individuals, too much fat is being placed into these chambers causing the pitting or bulging of the skin. In addition, as we age, the fibers shrink and thicken, pulling the skin downward. This results in a quilt-like appearance on the skin surface, especially in the glutes, thighs and hips. Most women develop cellulite as they age and as many as 95% of women over the age of 30 develop some sort of cellulite. Female hormones also play an important role in the formation of cellulite. Estrogen stimulates the storage of fat, which is needed for pregnancy and lactation. In addition, during the later phases of pregnancy, estrogen causes the breakdown of collagen fibers. This breakdown sets the stage for the formation of cellulite. Progesterone may also contribute to the cellulite problem by weakening veins and causing water retention and weight gain.
Types of Cellulite
Stage I: Aqueous Cellulite This type of cellulite is caused by water retention due to poor blood and lymphatic circulation. It is important to drain toxins and reactivate circulatory exchanges.
Stage II: Adipose Cellulite
This type of cellulite is often associated with excess weight. It is necessary to stimulate the natural release of fat. Stage III: Fibrous Cellulite This type of cellulite is harder to get rid of because it as been present for a long time, is compact and often painful.
The Cryo T-Shock stimulates the skin and fatty tissue to soften them and make them less fibrous. At the same time, this stimulation helps to release fat and to activate blood and lymphatic circulation. Also, the hot and cold shocks the cells to stimulate natural fat release and firms skin to give it back it’s tonality and dimple free appearance.
